Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering (English)
Mechanical Engineering is a field which embraces a large variety of processes such as the analysis of every kind of mechanical and energy transformation systems, their design, production, operation and maintenance. Mechanical engineers are expected to have a good knowledge of the fundamental principles of mathematics and physics and to canalise this knowledge effectively to the design, production and analysis of mechanical and energy transformation systems.
The main objective of our Department of Mechanical Engineering is to make our graduates who complete four years of undergraduate programme to acquire problem-solving skills in technical matters on their own. In this programme, besides fundamental engineering courses, the Department encourages its students to select elective courses in order to have a more inclusive education.
Our academic staff includes experienced, full-time lecturers who have worked in national and international institutions and part-time lecturers that are working in universities in our region.
Program Specific Requirements
- One year English preparatory school is compulsory.
Learning Outcomes
- Our Mechanical Engineering Department’s training objectives reflect the future goals of our program, and include the achievement of our graduates' desired career goals in the near future, as well as their professional expectations. The first graduates of our department (English) were graduated in 2019, and it was held at departmental board meetings within the framework of our objectives determined in the meetings with our internal and external partners. As a result of these evaluations, taking into account the careers that our graduates have reached within 3 years, our efforts to improve the necessary education have started. In this context, the training objectives of our department are defined below: 1. Graduates of our department can continue their expertise and studies in the field of R&D-PUR and education at national and international level. 2. They can work individually or as a team member in the institutions they work for. 3. In the studies to be carried out in the field of engineering, it is to train engineers who have a solid foundation and can update their knowledge, think, research and produce.

- Our graduates from the Department of Mechanical Engineering have the opportunity to work in a wide range of fields. As a result of the engineering education they have completed, our students can work in many positions such as Mechanical Engineer, Design Engineer, R&D Engineer, P&D Engineer, Sales Engineer, Quality Control Engineer and Automation Engineer.
