Associate in Medical Laboratory Techniques
The aim of this Programme is to educate prospective professionals who can implement modern laboratory techniques along with conventional ones in medicine, think analytically, adopt the philosophy of total quality and ethical values, meet the field-specific requirements concerning scientific and technological developments, perform the medical analyses deemed necessary by the physicians, work with all the laboratory modalities (Biochemistry, Microbiology, Serology, Pathology, etc.) used by the physicians for diseases diagnosis and treatment, as well as all genetic laboratory processes, use required knowledge, skills and experience, and work in both public and private laboratories.
Students are provided with the required background for them to become health professionals who strictly follow the medical ethics and deontological rules, respect patient rights, have the mental and physical strength to fulfil any duty under any circumstances at any time, get results in the shortest time possible by ensuring that laboratory quality control measures are in place, come with effective solutions to the problems they encounter, have a good comprehension of the medical documentation processes and business flow and organisation, work in teams without difficulty, have a sense of responsibility, communicate effectively with patients, their relatives, physicians, laboratory experts, and other healthcare personnel, and comprehend the principles of professional ethics. Accordingly, technologists who are open to self-development and follow professional, scientific and technological developments will be more advantageous to find a job and climb the career ladder.

Learning Outcomes
- This Programme aims to educate prospective technologists with required knowledge and technical background who can perform required routine tests and analyses for the diagnosis, monitoring and treatment of the diseases, use the laboratory tools and equipment under the supervision of specialists in the health institutions, and report the findings according to required standards.

- Graduating with the title laboratory technologists, our students can work in hospitals, community health centres, polyclinics, and private laboratories.
- Students who wish to get a bachelor’s degree can take the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS) to transfer to the 4-year undergraduate degree programmes. Graduates of the Medical Laboratory Techniques can take the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS) to transfer to the undergraduate degree programmes Biology, Molecular Biology and Genetics, Biotechnology, Biotechnology and Molecular Biology, Genetics and Bioengineering, Bioengineering, Nursing, and Nursing and Health Services.
