Overview
The aim of this Programme is to educate allied health professionals who can provide basic and advanced life support services to patients and the injured as part of the prehospitalisation emergency medical care, perform medical intervention methods to save the lives of the patients or the injured and prevent injuries until they are given the main medical treatment, recognise any system trauma and accordingly plan and perform the suitable emergency aid method, and ensure the safe arrival of the patients or the injured, who have already been given the first aid, at the hospital by ambulance.

Learning Outcomes
- The aim of this Programme is to create the qualified labour for the emergency units of institutions and organisations, especially health institutions. The Programme of First Aid and Emergency Medical Services educates students on emergency aid and rescue practices, emergency patient care, principles of patient care, bleeding control, establishing vascular access, and some basic drug administrations. The Programme aims to educate the students to become individuals who strictly adhere to medical ethics and deontological rules, respect patient rights, and have the mental and physical fitness to fulfil the duties they are assigned with under any circumstances. Upon completing all the vocational practices and internships required by the Programme, students are awarded the title Health Technologist and work in prehospitalisation medical care services, and all emergency departments.

- Graduates of the associate degree Programme of First Aid and Emergency Medical Services are awarded the title “Paramedic” or “Emergency Medical Technologist”. Our graduates have a wide range of career opportunities, the emergency call service “112” being the biggest employer, such as emergency departments and intensive care units of hospitals, public and private institutions in the service industry, private hospitals, private ambulance companies, occupational health nursing, and first aid trainer. After graduation, students can also pursue an academic career.
