Overview
The program is aimed at those who work in management positions in businesses or want to make a career in this field and aims to understand the discipline of management and organization within a scientific platform. Within the scope of the program, students gain knowledge about the basic principles, concepts, relevant theories and applications of management and organization disciplines.
The aim of the program is to enable students who have adopted universal values in the field of business management to achieve successful career goals on national and international levels. It also aims to train managers and entrepreneurs who know how to renew themselves and have analytical thinking skills.
Program Specific Requirements
- To apply for the Thesis Master’s Degree Programme, candidates must hold a bachelor’s diploma, and submit their copy of the ALES (Academic Staff and Postgraduate Education Admission Exam) score, which must be at least 55 of the required weight (verbal or quantitative or equally weighted) by the Programme. The exam is centrally held by ÖSYM (Centre for Assessment, Selection, and Placement). The ALES is not required for the non-thesis master’s degree programme.
Learning Outcomes
- Students: Have the required academic knowledge to discuss the techniques, methods, models, and approaches regarding Management and Organisation. Gain proficiency in basic principles and strategies regarding Modern Business Administration. Are able to analyse the problems and needs within the Management and Organisation system of business institutions. Comprehend and apply the business administration’s functions of planning, organising, conducting, coordination, and supervising. Analyse how the employees form and modify their behaviour in business institutions. Make analyses regarding the internal and external environment of business institutions. Carry out the fundamental tasks of the Human Resources Management of business institutions. Acquire the skills of carrying out research, analysing data, producing and interpreting its results regarding Social Sciences in accordance with the principles of scientific method. Combine the knowledge of Business Administration and Organisation with those of other disciplines.
Career Opportunities
- Graduates of the Thesis/Non-thesis Master’s Degree Programme in Management and Organisation can work as group A officers such as assistant auditors, assistant specialists, etc. in public institutions, and as assistant managers and managers at the senior or functional administrative departments of private institutions. They can also work as research assistants, lecturers, and faculty members at the relevant department of universities.
