Master in Interior Architecture (Thesis)
The program is aimed at making physical and aesthetic arrangements in spaces. In this context, it aims for students to deepen the knowledge and skills they have acquired in their undergraduate education in the field of design in line with their talents and interests, and to transform theoretical knowledge into knowledge related to the field of application by establishing an interactive relationship between theory and professional practice in architecture. In addition, it is aimed to examine issues in the fields of architectural design, interior architecture theory and criticism, environment and the city from different perspectives, and to conduct original research using various approaches, methods and techniques related to the discipline of interior architecture.
Program Specific Requirements
- In order to apply for a master's program, candidates must have a bachelor's degree and must have an ALES standard score and score type of at least 55 in the score type of the program they are applying for from the ALES exam conducted centrally by ÖSYM, or an equivalent score from one of the international exams accepted by the Council of Higher Education, the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) and the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT). The weight with which the ALES score will be evaluated in student admissions, provided that it is not less than 50%, is determined by the Senate. The Institute may also accept students to master's programs with only the ALES score. Equivalent scores accepted as equivalent to ALES and announced by the Council of Higher Education may be increased by the decision of the Senate. ALES score is not required for student admission to non-thesis master's programs. Graduates of Interior Architects, Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, Architects, Landscape Architects, Industrial Product Designers, Naval Architecture Engineers, Civil Engineers, Urban and Regional Planning, Faculty of Art and Design and Department of Performing Arts Design of Faculty of Fine Arts, Art Management, Painting, Graphic Design, Communication and Design, Traditional Turkish Arts, Faculty of Technical Education Furniture and Decoration Teaching can apply to this master's program. The Admission Evaluation for the Thesis Master's Program is based on the calculation of 70% of the ALES Score, 20% of the Undergraduate Grade Point Average, and 10% of the written Scientific Evaluation and/or Interview Results, and the total number of main and reserve students is accepted starting from the top, as many as the relevant program quota.

- Students: Carry out research in interior decoration and surface design, comprehend these concepts, and applies the concepts by adding unique touches. Select sustainable materials of the Interior Architecture suitably for the intended purpose, and use them. Make use of the wind, sunlight, cold and hot springs to reach high quality in the interior design. Apply the principles of green interior design. Acquire the current written and visual information on the interior and furniture design, communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, and acquire the knowledge of the ethics, disciplines and culture of the group and individual research project.

- Graduates who complete the Interior Architecture master's program have the opportunity to work in a wide variety of branches. There are many different options such as continuing their doctoral programs and entering an academic career, working in public institutions, working as an interior designer, working as an interior designer in an architectural office, working in building inspection firms or consulting services.
