Associate in Pathology Laboratory Techniques
Pathological diagnosis plays an important role in the diagnosis of diseases today. Pathology laboratory technologists who have technical and theoretical background are crucial in this field where advanced technology and new techniques are used. Prospective students of medical specialties prefer this field more and more which means that there will be a growing need for these technologists parallel to the number of prospective physicians graduating. Considering the distribution of universities and teaching hospitals throughout the country, there are differences in employment between various regions.
The aim of this Programme is to educate prospective technical professionals who can perform all the technical work and implement the advanced technology up to the point of preparing the tissues and bodily fluids for microscopic examination in pathology laboratories, work in the establishment of new techniques, solve problems, and use their hand-eye coordination skills well.

Educational objectives of the Programme include educating prospective technologists who know all the procedures before, during and after the pathology laboratory, have the knowledge and skills to implement the required procedures, know, develop and inspect the quality control and assurance procedures of pathology laboratories, have knowledge and skills in research pathology, and follow the developments in the health sector.
